As the golf season approaches its conclusion, The Apple Cup is the de facto season finale for WGA members who are not in position to qualify for the Desert Invitational ... or perhaps their final opportunity to qualify.

Played at a mountain destination in the heart of Washington apple country, The Apple Cup is a unique event on the WGA calendar. It is played as a match play event involving two-person teams. Teams are selected by lot, and play other teams in a single elimination, handicapped "four ball" format. Since this is a team format, fewer WGA Tour Series points are awarded, and as a result, this tournament is often filled with a large number of side-bet competitions.

Tour Series Point Structure:

Champion = 60 points each
Runner Up = 30 points each
Third = 20 points each
Fourth = 10 points each
